Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Tiger I heavy tank in 1:35 scale from the Tamiya company. It captures the early production version of the Tiger in its fit for the African theater, the so-called tropical configuration. The package contains a finely shaped hull and turret, a range of accessories and tank crew figures; the color schemes for finishing are included.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War with an 88 mm gun and strong armor, which became a symbol of armored power. The early examples sent to North Africa, operated among others by the 501st Heavy Tank Battalion, had specific features of the early configuration and tropical equipment with additional cooling and filtration.
It is advisable to assemble the running gear first, using liquid cement for plastic and a basic primer. African schemes with a sand base will show to advantage once washes and dust pigments have been applied into the joints and onto the lower areas; an airbrush makes smooth transitions and the shading of large surfaces easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
