About product

Metal track links 1:35 - Toldi / Nimrod (Friulmodel)

This is a modeling accessory, not a model in its own right. The set holds individual track links cast in white metal, which are assembled into a working track by joining them with the enclosed wire. Metal tracks replace the plastic or vinyl tracks from an ordinary kit and give a realistic weight and sag.

The real subject

The Toldi was a Hungarian light tank and the Nimrod a Hungarian self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle of the Second World War period. Both vehicles came from a license-built chassis derived from the Swedish Landsverk design and shared the type of running gear and track that this set reproduces.

Building and painting tips

The links are cleaned of casting remains, assembled with the enclosed wire and can be left to sag slightly. The metal is treated with a primer before painting, and the tracks are then painted and weathered with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects.

Who they are for

  • For modelers building the Toldi or the Nimrod in 1:35 scale
  • For swapping the plastic tracks for more faithful metal ones
  • For more advanced builders focused on running gear detail

This is an accessory for modelers, not a model in its own right. It does not hold the vehicle, glue or paints.
