An accessory set in 1:35 scale with the UB-32A-73 rocket pod for unguided 57 mm rockets. It will replace the simplified part from the kit with a more faithfully rendered version.
Responsibility details are not available.
The UB-32 is a Soviet rocket pod for unguided 57 mm rockets. The number in the designation corresponds to the count of tubular launch tubes from which the rockets are fired singly or in a salvo. The body has the shape of a cylinder whose face is formed by a ring with the muzzles of the tubes, and it carries a lug for attachment to the pylon of the carrier. It is precisely the face with the regular pattern of muzzles that is the most conspicuous part of the whole pod, and the eye finds it first on a model.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit in 1:35 scale, which replaces the simplified parts from the box with a more faithful version. The number of pieces and the range of parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Before the build, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry off, because a degreased surface holds the paint substantially better. Cut off the excess material with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder with fine abrasive paper, so that the edges of the face stay sharp. Glue the joints with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply the paint in thin coats over a base coat, otherwise the fine relief will be lost under the deposit.
The set will please modelers for whom a simplified part from a kit is not enough for the underwing armament. The work with it is undemanding and you will get by with a sharp blade, abrasive paper and cyanoacrylate glue.
The kit of the carrier, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
