Covered engine deck for the Ural-4320 in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART: a resin part with a canvas cover. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin part in 1:35 scale represents the engine deck of the Ural-4320 truck with a canvas cover. It is an accessory for a finished model, not a kit. In freezing conditions the canvas cover was pulled over the front of the truck so that the engine would not cool down needlessly, and on a model it is a striking change, because the front end determines the whole impression of the vehicle.
The Ural-4320 is a Soviet and later Russian off-road truck with three axles and all-wheel drive. It carries cargo and troops, serves as a carrier for bodies and equipment and as a tractor, and is still in use in many countries today. It is built for harsh conditions, where insulating the engine and the radiator in winter is common practice, so a covered front end is typical for this kind of vehicle rather than exceptional.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water and remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a saw and level the surface with a file; protect your airways while sanding. Resin is bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. Dry-fit the part before gluing, because dimensions differ between kits. The canvas comes out well if you lighten the base shade on the ridges of the folds and let a dark wash run into the hollows.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
