A detailed resin wheel set in 1:35 scale for the American M3A1 Scout Car armored reconnaissance vehicle. The wheels are cast in resin with a fine tire tread pattern and have a flattened area in the lower part that imitates the real sag under the weight of the vehicle. They replace the wheels from the Tamiya kit and give the vehicle a more convincing, loaded look. The set usually contains masking templates for painting the tires.
The M3A1 Scout Car was an American light armored reconnaissance car on a wheeled chassis, widely used in the Second World War and supplied to the Allies as well. It served for reconnaissance, liaison and escort duties.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. Paint the tires using the enclosed masks and finish the hubs and the rims separately. Create the dust and mud on the underside of the wheels with pigments and washes. Use respiratory protection when sanding resin.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
