An injection-molded plastic kit of the American XM706E2 (M706 Commando) wheeled armored car in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Hobby Boss. The US Air Force version had no turret but an open central position with a protective coaming for machine guns. The package contains photo-etched parts and rubber tires.
The XM706E2 was an armored car delivered to the US Air Force for base protection, post-attack reconnaissance and explosive ordnance clearance. Unlike the army version with a turret, it carried an open position, most often with a .50 caliber heavy machine gun and a lighter 7.62 mm machine gun. It proved itself in the Vietnam War as well.
Assemble the chassis and the interior of the hull before you close it up. Glue with liquid cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Do not glue the rubber tires with ordinary cement for plastic. Washes and pigments for dust and mud will bring the surface to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
