The German A4 ballistic missile, publicly known by the designation Vergeltungswaffe 2 and the abbreviation V-2, is among the best-known technical creations of the closing stage of the Second World War. It was powered by a liquid-propellant rocket engine, launched vertically from a prepared site and flew to its target on a ballistic trajectory. The slender body with its pointed nose and the four large stabilizing fins at the tail give it a silhouette even a layman recognizes.
This is a COBI kit from the group of models without gluing. The plastic parts fit into one another and hold by pressing, so the model can be put together and taken apart again. The 1:35 scale gives the finished missile a striking height, so reckon rather on a place of its own than on a shelf among small accessories.
Work through the manufacturer's numbered instructions step by step and press the parts fully home, so that the joints hold. On kits of this type the parts tend to be colored through, so the model looks good even without painting. If you do take up painting, try the paint first in a hidden place and apply it thinly, because a heavy layer gets in the way at the joints.
The package contains the kit and the instructions. Paints, glue and a base for the model are not supplied with it, unless stated otherwise.
