An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Vickers E light tank in the Mk.A version with a pair of turrets in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Mirage Hobby. The model captures the distinctive twin-turret variant, each turret of which carried a machine gun. The box holds plastic parts and instructions; paints and glue are not included.
The Vickers E, also known as the Vickers six-ton, was created in the 1930s as a private venture by the Vickers company. The British Army did not adopt it, but it became an export success with a number of foreign armies and a pattern for further designs, including the Soviet T-26 and the Polish 7TP. The Mk.A version with a pair of turrets was meant for fighting infantry and lightly armored targets.
First assemble and if need be paint the running gear and the interior spaces, which are harder to reach once the hull is closed up. For weathering, use washes and pigments for dust and mud effects, which come into their own on the busy suspension. Clean up the small parts carefully; thin cement for plastic is the thing to use.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
