1:35 Workable Track Links KV-1 Model 1942

Workable link tracks for the KV-1 Model 1942, 1:35 (Rye Field Model)

The set holds individual plastic track links for assembling workable tracks for the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank in the Model 1942 version, in 1:35 scale. The assembled tracks are workable, so they follow the shape of the running gear and the natural sag faithfully.

Use

• A replacement for the tracks from an ordinary kit with workable link tracks
• The links are nipped off, cleaned up and joined into a working track
• Being workable lets them sit realistically on the wheels and sag

Building tips

Separate the links from the sprues carefully and clean up the sprue nubs. Assemble them gradually in longer runs, while the glue has not fully set, so that the track stays workable. The tracks come into their own after painting and weathering, with mud and dust effects.

Who it is for

For modelers of military vehicles who want a realistic running gear on their KV-1.

This is an accessory track set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
