German clamps Type 2 (3D printed) are a resin detail set for armor in 1:35 scale from the company Eduard. They replace the simplified plastic brackets and add realistic mounting for the equipment on the hull and the fenders.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin accessory made by direct 3D printing. It is not a vehicle model but a set of small parts that replace the coarse plastic clamps and brackets used to hold the tools and equipment on armored vehicles of the Second World War. Thanks to printing, the parts have crisp edges, thin sections and faithful detail of a kind that classic injection-molded plastic cannot deliver.
The clamps hold shovels, picks, axes, crowbars and other tools on the fenders and the hull. On plastic kits these brackets tend to be thick and unconvincing; swapping them for printed parts lifts the realism of the whole vehicle noticeably. The clamps can be fitted in the closed or the open position, depending on whether the tool stays in place or has been taken off.
Carefully separate the parts from the print carriers with a sharp knife, wash off the residue and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Because they are so small, tweezers and a magnifier pay off. Sand with respiratory protection. We recommend a primer before painting; the clamps are then easy to match to the shade of the vehicle.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
