The set belongs among detail accessories, not among models: you get a casting of a portable German field radio set from the period of the Second World War, which is added to a scene already built or to the interior of a vehicle. The number of parts and the contents of the package are stated on the box.
The Torn.Fu.d2 belonged to the family of so-called Tornister radio sets, that is portable devices carried on the back in a frame and operated as a rule by a pair of men, one carrying the transmitter and receiver, the other the power unit. The typical features of this class of equipment are a boxy case with controls on the front wall, a rod antenna and detachable accessories such as headphones and a microphone. This is signals equipment, that is kit that makes sense in a diorama scene at command posts, with signalers and with vehicle crews.
Resin is worked differently from plastic. First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent so that the residue of the mold release agent is removed, otherwise neither paint nor glue will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife rather than with nippers, which shatter resin, and level the surface with a file; use respiratory protection while sanding, because resin dust is not something to inhale. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue, as plastic cement does not work here. Apply a primer before painting. The case of the device is rewarding with a dark base, a fine pick-out of the edges with a dry brush and discreet soiling with pigment at the lower edge, as it then looks like something that was carried in the field.
This is a detail accessory in resin, not a model of a vehicle. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
