Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Ya-12 light tracked artillery tractor in 1:35 scale from MiniArt. It is a richly broken-up model with a fully detailed engine, a cab interior, well-worked running gear and individual track links. The package also holds photo-etched parts. The number of parts puts the kit among the more demanding projects.
The Ya-12 was a Soviet light tracked artillery tractor developed during the Second World War for towing guns and supplying the artillery and rear-area units of the Red Army. It stood out for its open or semi-enclosed cab and for tracked running gear, which gave it good cross-country performance. Tractors of this type were crucial for the mobility of the artillery and complemented the more numerous heavier types.
Use thin cement for plastic and work in subassemblies. Finish and paint the engine and the cab interior before you close the body up, or you will lose access to them. Prepare the individual track links and fit them with a natural sag only once the running gear has been finished. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before finishing and spray with an airbrush; the Soviet green will be brought to life by washes, edge highlighting and pigments for mud and dusty effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
