Eduard Zimmerit Elefant/Ferdinand 1:35 is a photo-etched Zimmerit set, which imitates the anti-magnetic coating on the German Elefant/Ferdinand tank destroyer.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched Zimmerit set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale, meant for detailing a model of the German Elefant heavy tank destroyer, earlier designated the Ferdinand. The formed photo-etched parts faithfully imitate Zimmerit, the paste-like anti-magnetic coating with which German vehicles were treated in the Second World War against magnetic mines sticking to them. It is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory that replaces the laborious shaping of Zimmerit by hand.
The Elefant, originally the Ferdinand, was a German heavy tank destroyer of the Second World War period with massive frontal armor and a long gun of large caliber. It came about on a chassis originally meant for a heavy tank and was deployed above all on the Eastern Front. Heavily armored but ponderous, the machine is among the best known German tracked vehicles of that time.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
