An accessory for a model of the attack version of the Viggen in 1:48 scale. It holds color-printed flat items for the pilot's compartment, which are glued straight onto the parts of the kit and give the instrument panel and the side consoles readable artwork. The exact number of items is stated by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The AJ 37 was the first production version of the Viggen and was built from the outset as an attack machine against naval and ground targets. The unmistakable layout with a large canard ahead of the main delta wing gave the aircraft very good qualities at low speeds. An engine with thrust reversers made it possible to touch down and stop on a short stretch of road, which was the basis of the Swedish concept of dispersed bases. The whole machine was designed so that a small group of conscripts with a minimum of equipment could service it in the field, and that carried over into the solution of the cockpit as well.
Assemble the cockpit dry and check whether the items fit the relief of the part. Moldings with deeply engraved dials sometimes need light sanding to make the surface flat. Apply the items in order from the largest to the smallest and use a blunt point to press them home. Even the finished cockpit out with a matte varnish, so that the sheen does not differ from the rest of the cabin.
