A publication from the Fast Guide series of the brand Komakai, devoted to the Subaru Impreza WRC rally car in its 2001 specification.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Impreza WRC is a Subaru rally car built for the world rally championship. It is derived from the production sedan, but under the body it is a different machine: a turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive, a roll cage in the cabin and a suspension prepared for jumps and for running on gravel. The year in the name matters, because the cars changed from one year to the next, and not only in the color scheme but in the shape of the body and the aerodynamic additions as well.
The title belongs to the Fast Guide series, which the brand Komakai always devotes to one car. A modeler reaches for it at the moment of building a particular car of a particular season and needing to decide what the color scheme looked like, where the lettering and the racing numbers belonged and how the crew compartment was laid out. With rally cars a look at where the dust and mud collected is useful too, because it is precisely the wear that turns a model of a rally car into a believable scene.
For builders of models of rally cars, for followers of rallying at the turn of the millennium and for collectors of motorsport literature. This is a publication in its own right; a model, a kit and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
