The McLaren F1 GTR is the racing form of the road-going McLaren F1, adapted for GT endurance racing. The form with the Long Tail epithet received a lengthened nose and tail: a longer body smooths the airflow and lowers drag on fast circuits, where long stretches are run flat out. The car kept the peculiarity of its road original, the driver's seat in the middle of the car.
The title belongs to the Fast Guide series, which the Komakai brand devotes to a single car at a time. With racing GTs it helps above all with the color scheme and the lettering, because individual cars of the same type differed from one another both in finish and in small things on the body. The reference also helps with the parts a kit simplifies: the interior, the cooling ducts and the mounting of the wing and the front body panels.
For builders of GT car models, for admirers of endurance racing of the 1990s and for collectors of motorsport literature. It is a standalone publication, and a model and a kit are not included, unless stated otherwise.
