The highest of the three levels in which the Czech brand New Ware issues its masking sets. The material is kabuki tape, which the manufacturer laser-cuts to the shapes of the particular type, so the lengthy tracing and cutting against a ruler is no longer needed. Compared with the lower levels, the EXPERT level stands out in that it adds templates for the inner side of the glazing.
The IVP designation belongs to the updated version of the French bomber, created by converting earlier machines. The aircraft was given new avionics and adapted to carry a guided weapon instead of the original free-fall one. When the nuclear role was gradually given up, the remaining aircraft took over reconnaissance duties with a pod under the fuselage, and in this form they served until the mid-2000s. The delta wing with no horizontal tail surfaces and the pair of engines in the fuselage remained the recognition marks of the type throughout.
The inner masks are stuck on before the canopy is glued together, so go through the whole procedure dry before you reach for the glue. Degrease the surface and lay the template on with a dry hand, as fingerprints weaken the adhesive. With the pair of thin frames it pays to spray the interior color first and only then continue with the outer coat.
