Responsibility details are not available.
A set of figures from the Polish brand Mirage Hobby. It is not a model of the vehicle, nor an accessory for its interior, but a standalone group of insurgent figures together with their small arms, meant to bring a diorama or a display case to life. The 1:72 scale means figures around two and a half centimeters tall, so careful cleaning up and painting decide the result.
Kubus was an improvised armored car that the insurgents built during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. It was put together in a workshop from the chassis of a truck, onto which an angular armored box was welded, and it was one of the few fighting vehicles the Home Army had at its disposal. It was committed to attacks in the center of the city and it stayed in memory as a symbol of insurgent ingenuity. The surviving part of the vehicle is shown to this day in a museum in Warsaw.
Figures in this scale come out well if a base a shade darker is used on the uniforms and the highlights are added with a dry brush. The insurgents wore no uniform dress, so you can allow yourself civilian trousers, jackets and pieces of captured equipment, unified only by an armband. For the faces two shades are enough to suggest them; detailed shading is lost at two and a half centimeters.
