Responsibility details are not available.
A set of color 3D decals by Quinta Studio for a faithful cockpit fit-out in 1:72 scale. The raised, fully colored details are printed on a decal backing paper and are lifted off it in water. Even in a small scale they bring the instrument panel, the side consoles and the belts without any painting and as a fast alternative to photo-etch. The version matches machines operated in Western countries. The set is intended for the Trumpeter and IBG kits.
The MiG-29A, product designation 9.12, is the early version of the Soviet single-seat fighter known in the West as the Fulcrum. It is marked by a pair of engines, a pronounced wing leading-edge root extension and an analog cockpit. The machines that entered service with Western armed forces carry a number of small differences, which the set takes into account.
Cover the cockpit surfaces with a gloss varnish (Future, Klear, Tamiya X-22). Cut the part out of the sheet, soak it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place; in 1:72 scale work with tweezers. The element has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on the gloss varnish, and on small details a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a fixer, because their chemicals attack the printed resin.
The set serves as an accessory for a plastic kit and is not a model on its own. The Trumpeter or IBG base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
