Responsibility details are not available.
A set of two barrel tips for the 7.92 mm MG-34 machine gun together with an armored cover for the mount, intended for the Pz.Kpfw.IV tank family with the 7.5 cm KwK 40 gun in 1:35 scale. This set from the ELEFANT brand is cut for Academy kits; the same accessory also exists in variants for kits from other manufacturers, so go by this designation when buying.
The MG-34 was the first general-purpose machine gun of the German army and, besides the infantry, it also became the standard secondary weapon of armored equipment. On the Pz.Kpfw.IV tank the barrel tip of the hull machine gun projected from a ball mount in the front armor, covered by a massive armored ring, and it is precisely this conspicuous area that the accessory captures. The version with the long KwK 40 gun matches the versions built from 1942 onward, which bore the main weight of the tank fighting on the Eastern and the Western Front.
Cut the plastic barrel tips from the box off, clean up the mating surfaces and fix the new parts with cyanoacrylate. Two pieces in the package leave a spare for another project. Once degreased, apply a primer and carry on with the usual camouflage scheme; a fine dry brush with a graphite shade will finally bring out the muzzle of the weapon.
