A set of decal film with a three-dimensional relief from the Kelik brand, intended for the cabin of the O-2A aircraft in 1:48 scale, in the green form of the equipment. It is not a kit or castings but an extra glued onto plastic parts. The set is prepared for the O-2A kit from ICM, which you obtain separately.
The Skymaster entered military service as a cheap replacement for older observation types. The layout of the engines one behind the other simplified the piloting if one of them failed, and the glazing of the cabin gave the crew the view needed for finding targets in the terrain. The machines flew low and for a long time, so their interior bore the traces of intensive service; that is a rewarding theme for modeling patina.
Unify the base with paint and gloss varnish, as the film will otherwise not adhere evenly. Cut the elements out close around the printing, soak them briefly and slide them into place with a wet brush. Press the relief down with a swab from the center outward, so that no water stays under it. Use heating with hot air carefully and only from a distance. Finally finish the surface with matte varnish and use a drybrush with an aluminum shade for wear on the edges.
