This is a plaque on its own with a divisional insignia, fitted to the base of a diorama or at the foot of a figure or a vehicle. A diameter of forty millimeters is given in the name; the brand also offers the same insignia in a smaller size. The plaque is supplied to be assembled and painted, and neither paints nor glue are included.
The insignia belongs to the 29th Waffen SS division known by the abbreviation RONA. It came into being in 1944 when a Russian collaborationist brigade was transferred to SS command, and it existed only briefly before being disbanded. Watch out for a mix-up: the number 29 was later carried by another division as well, whose title holds an Italian designation, and that one has an insignia of its own.
Glue the plaque on only after the base is finished, so that it is not damaged during sanding. The relief stands out if the area is first evened out with a base coat, then given a darker glaze and the edges lifted with drybrushing. A metal look is within reach of pigment powder polished to a sheen. Insignia and lettering hold better under a thin coat of matte varnish. Roughen the surface of the base before gluing; resin does not hold on smooth varnish.
