This kit from Das Werk captures a four-wheeled protected vehicle of the Bundeswehr. The year in the name refers to the form of the vehicle at that time, and the abbreviations after the type designation belong to particular equipment versions, which the manufacturer lists on the box.
The Eagle IV falls into the GFF category, that is, protected command and function vehicles. It is based on a tough off-road chassis and, compared with older types, it offered a higher level of ballistic and mine protection, so it became a regular part of German overseas missions. Inside the hull the signals and command equipment changes according to the version, while from the outside the vehicles differ in their antennas, brackets, weapon station and the extent of their add-on armor.
Finish the chassis and the wheels first, because once the hull is seated you will hardly reach them. Replace the antennas with drawn fishing line or thin wire, because the plastic pieces are soft for their length. Bundeswehr vehicles carry both the European three-color camouflage and the single-color sand finish from overseas missions, so choose your subject in advance and let it guide how much dust you add.
The model is unassembled and unpainted, and paints and glue are not enclosed with it.
