Art Scale 1:48 P-51B/C Mustang one-sided express fit mask is a masking set for a model of the early version of the famous American fighter. It is not a kit but an aid for clean painting. Meant for the Eduard kit.

This is a set of masks from Art Scale for a model of the North American P-51B/C Mustang fighter in 1:48 scale. It serves to cover areas accurately while spraying, typically the canopy frames and other places where a paint boundary would be hard to hold by brush. The name gives the single-sided version; the double-sided version of the same type is a separate item, so you choose according to how you want to approach the masking. The set itself holds no plastic parts. The target kit is Eduard.
The P-51B and P-51C are the so-called razorback Mustangs, that is the versions with the raised fuselage spine from before the bubble canopy was introduced. The fundamental change from the first Mustangs was the British Merlin engine built under license, which gave the aircraft its performance at high altitude. It was thanks to that engine that the Mustang became an escort fighter able to go with the bomber formations deep over the continent. The B version was built at Inglewood and the C version at Dallas, and British service listed them under the designation Mustang Mk.III.
Lay the mask on a perfectly cured and degreased surface and apply the paint in thin coats; a heavy coat creeps under the edge far more easily than several fine passes. The canopy frames stand out if the cockpit interior color is sprayed on first, under the final shade. Lift the mask off while the paint is freshly dry, not after it has fully cured.
