A decal sheet for the Hawker Hurricane Mk.I in 1:32 scale, devoted to the machines of Czechoslovak pilots from the Battle of Britain.
Responsibility details are not available.
In the summer of 1940 the Hurricane Mk.I was the most numerous fighter of the British defense. Structurally it was based on a tube fuselage frame with fabric covering over the rear part, it was powered by the liquid-cooled Merlin V12 engine and it took hits after which another machine would not have made it home. Czechoslovak pilots also flew Hurricane Mk.Is in the Battle of Britain, and it is their machines that the sheet is devoted to.
The markings are worked out in 1:32 scale, that is in a format where even small lettering is legible and where a decal has a large enough area for precise placement. Large elements also forgive small inaccuracies while being settled. Which machines are covered on the sheet and which kit it is cut for are given in the enclosed instructions.
Varnish the surface under the decal to a gloss. Cut the element out, soak it and slide it off the paper onto the model. Settle it with a brush from the center toward the edges and blot off the excess water. A softener will help the film adhere to the fabric covering and to the panel lines. Once it is dry, go over the area with varnish.
For builders in large scales and for anyone interested in the history of the Czechoslovak airmen in the RAF. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
