A set of upgrades and stowage for the T17E1 Staghound armored car in 1:35 scale from the Eureka XXL brand. The set is prepared for the Bronco kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Eureka XXL adds to the Staghound a group of parts that turn a bare vehicle into a machine used in the field. Besides refining elements it also offers the gear that crews carried on the fenders and at the rear. It is not a kit of the armored car but an accessory for one. The brackets and the seating surfaces follow from the hull of the Bronco kit.
The T17E1 Staghound was a heavy armored car of American production which the American army did not, however, take into service. It was supplied to the British and to Commonwealth units and fought in Italy and in Northwest Europe. All-wheel drive, two engines and a turret with a 37 mm gun made it a fast reconnaissance machine with sufficient firepower. Crews marked their vehicles with baggage, tarpaulins and acquired equipment, so two photographs of the same type look different every time.
Place the stowage according to period photographs, and rather more sparingly than you feel like at first glance. Paint the individual pieces separately and only then seat them and touch up the joints. Canvas looks convincing when it gets a lighter base and a dark filter; then bring the leather and textile things out with a dry brush. Finish the metal objects with a fine rubbing of the edges.
The set serves as an accessory for a kit and does not contain the armored car itself.
