This SX-Art set is intended to cover the glazed areas of a model during spraying. You work with it at the stage when the airframe is glued and smoothed and the finish comes next: the templates copy the outline of the cockpit frames exactly, so the lines do not have to be laboriously cut from tape. It is not a resin detail set or a decal sheet but a tool for a clean spray job.
The SMT designation with the production number 9-19 belongs to the upgraded branch of the Fulcrum, which you can recognize by the heavily built-up spine behind the cockpit. More fuel went into it, which extended the range of the machine, a weak point on the original versions. The upgrade also brought a cockpit with displays, a wider range of external stores and the ability to work against ground targets. The resulting aircraft thus turned a light interceptor into a more universal combat tool that kept its agility but handled a substantially wider range of tasks than the original form from the 1980s.
Clean the surface of dust and fingerprints and lay the templates from the smallest cutouts to the larger ones. Apply the paint from the edge toward the center so that no excess is pushed under the edge. Once it has set, peel the set off carefully; if removal is delayed, the hardened film can tear at the edge.
