Kelik 1:72 Ju 88 A-1 completes the glazed cabin of the German fast bomber with color three-dimensional elements of the instrument equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for builders of the twin-engine bomber in 1:72 scale. The set brings elements of the crew space finished in color and is intended for completing a model that has to be obtained separately. On this type the equipment of the cabin makes exceptional sense: the front part of the fuselage is almost entirely glazed, so the inside can be seen from many angles.
The Junkers Ju 88 came about as a machine that was to escape fighters thanks to its speed. The first series form, the A-1, had more angular glazing of the nose part, a pair of liquid-cooled engines and a crew made up of four men who sat together in a single space – an arrangement that was to strengthen mutual support in combat. Experience over Britain showed that the defensive armament was not enough, and further versions therefore received stronger armor and armament. In the end the type turned into the most versatile twin-engine aircraft on its side.
Finish the cabin before you close the fuselage and fit the glazing – after that the inside can no longer be reached. Work from the rear surfaces forward, so that the finished parts do not get in the way. Bring out the seats and the frames in a shade somewhat lighter than the surroundings, otherwise the whole space behind the glass will blend into a uniform dark patch.
