The 6th Armored Division of the US Army, known by the nickname Super Sixth, was among the units that in the closing stage of the Second World War fought their way through Europe at the head of the advance. Its main combat means were Sherman medium tanks, and that in several versions used side by side.
The sheet offers markings for three forms of the Sherman. The M4 Composite joined a cast front part of the hull with a welded rear, so it is recognized at first glance by its rounded front. The M4A3 became the most widespread version with American units in Europe. The M4A3E8, known by the nickname Easy Eight, received a new suspension with horizontal springs and wider tracks, which gave it a quieter ride over terrain.
Cut the element out as close to the print as possible and dip it for a few seconds in lukewarm water. Once it starts to slide freely over the backing paper, transfer it onto a smooth, gloss and degreased surface. Press the water out with a soft cloth and over rivets and edges help it along with decal softener, so that the print is pressed against the surface. Once dry, overcoat the area with varnish. The exact placement of the elements is stated in the instructions enclosed with the sheet.
The sheet suits modelers who build American armored equipment in 1:72 scale and want several machines of one division in different versions. Anyone building more vehicles of the same unit will appreciate not having to put the markings together from several sheets. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
