Quinta Studio prints cockpit details in relief and in color straight onto decal paper. The result is applied as a wet decal and gives the pilot's compartment a depth that a flat print cannot manage. This item is the reduced variant of the set: it offers a narrower selection of elements than the full version of the same aircraft. The name states which kit the set is cut for. The base kit is Modelsvit.
The Twin Mustang arose from joining two fuselages derived from the P-51 fighter into a single airframe with two cockpits. The F-82H version was an adaptation of the all-weather machines for service in the arctic conditions of Alaska, where long patrols over empty country were reckoned with. One cockpit served the pilot, the other the operator, so the model has two pilot compartments at once and an interior accessory shows on it twice over.
Prepare the base smooth and glossy so that the film forms no silvery edge anywhere. Immerse the parts in lukewarm water for only a few seconds, slide the decal into place and press it down with foam. Leave out decal softener, as it would attack the printed resin. Once dry, the surface can be lightly flattened so that the shine of the film does not disturb.
The full variant of the set is sold separately and differs in extent. If you want to equip both cockpits in as much detail as possible, compare the extent of the two sets.
