German crosses of the First World War (1918), part 1, 1:144 is a set of two sheets of wet decals with national insignia for models of aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of two sheets of waterslide decals from the Czech maker Mark I contains German aviation crosses of 1918 in 1:144 scale. The markings are printed in several sizes, so you will choose the dimension matching the given type and the position on the airframe. This is the first part of this line of cross markings.
At the end of the First World War the German air service moved from the broad Iron Cross to the newer shape of cross with thinner arms (the so-called Balkenkreuz). The exact shape and the proportion of the arms of the marking changed over time and is essential for a period-faithful rendition of the machines of 1918.
Apply the decals onto smooth gloss clear, which will prevent silvering. Once cut out, soak the marking, move it into place and draw the surplus water off. A softener will help it settle into the texture of the surface; finally coat it with matte clear matching the finish of the period.
This is a set of decals, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
