This collector's model from Abrex captures the facelifted Skoda Yeti in the Sea Blue Metallic color finish. The model is finished — it arrives assembled and painted, so it goes straight into a display case. Nothing on it is glued, sanded or sprayed. The 1:43 scale is the most widespread for collector's models of passenger cars, so the model fits the other pieces of an ordinary collection in size and does not stand out of the row.
The Skoda Yeti was the first production SUV from the Mlada Boleslav marque and came onto the market in 2009. The 2013 update brought above all a new nose with separate headlight and fog light, a reworked rear and a redesigned interior. After the facelift the range split into a city-oriented guise and a variant with sturdier plastic trim intended for rougher terrain. The Yeti was built until 2017 and remains a sought-after type among collectors of Czech automotive production.
Metallic paint shows to best advantage under a spotlight, but that is also where fingerprints show up most — so pick the model up by the chassis or through a cloth. Remove dust from the body with a soft brush, never with a dry cloth, which would dull the paint with fine scratches. Keep the model out of direct sunlight, so that the shade does not fade, and ideally in a closed display case.
