Covering masks intended for spraying the Revell kit of the Douglas attack bomber in 1:48. The difference from the sister item is given in the name: this one is double-sided, the other single-sided. The package holds masking material, not plastic.
The Invader is among the few aircraft that saw the Second World War, Korea and later service in Southeast Asia. The version marked with the letter C was recognized by its glazed tip, from which the bombardier directed the drop. The combination of two radial engines and a laminar-flow wing gave the machine a speed that many a fighter envied, and the life of the airframe allowed conversions for reconnaissance and counter-insurgency tasks. The last machines left military service only in the 1970s.
First finish the filling and sanding, then the primer and only then the masking. Seat the stencils with flat-jawed tweezers, so that the edges do not crumple. After spraying, let the surface set a while and lift the masks at an angle to the side, not straight up; the edge then stays smooth. Before you begin, look the glazing over against the light; small scratches from sanding will be emphasized further under glossy paint.
Without a model of your own the set will not be of use; neither the aircraft nor the paints are part of the delivery.
