1:72 IJN Zuikaku 1943 Front lift is a color base with the motif of the deck area at the forward lift of the Japanese aircraft carrier.
Responsibility details are not available.
A color printed board serves as a scenic area on which a finished model is stood. The motif represents the deck of an aircraft carrier in the area of the forward lift, that is the place where machines moved between the hangar and the takeoff run. The year 1943 in the name sets the period the appearance of the deck relates to.
The deck area around the lift has its own division, different artwork and different markings from the open run. A model stood on such a ground gains context at once, without a whole diorama scene having to be built. The base also suits being a background for photography, because the surface holds a plane and adds no shadow of its own to the model. A flat board helps too when several pieces are put side by side.
The Zuikaku was a Japanese aircraft carrier of the pair the Imperial Japanese Navy brought into service shortly before entering the war in the Pacific. During 1943 she moved between bases and the replenishment of air groups, between the great naval engagements of the preceding and the following year. She was lost in October 1944.
You obtain the model of the aircraft carrier or of an aircraft separately; the base forms only a scenic area.
