The interior equipment of the F-105G Thunderchief in 1:48 scale

The goods on offer are a supplementary set of decals with a raised effect intended for the inside of the cabin. It is applied to the interior parts and gives them a look that hand painting would reach only tediously. The target is the F-105G kit from Hobby Boss.

The Wild Weasel and its two crew stations

The G version was rebuilt for the suppression of enemy air defenses. Behind the pilot sat an operator of the electronic systems and it is precisely his place that forms the second cabin in the model, which single-seat machines do not have. The equipment of the two places differs from each other, so a set prepared for a two-seat aircraft is not interchangeable with the one for the single-seat form. Anyone who builds both versions side by side will see that difference on the finished models.

Building recommendation

• Unify the interior surfaces with a base color before fitting.
• Transfer the elements one after another and do not try to move them once they have hardened.
• Push them into the corners and up to the edges with a rounded tool.
• Try everything dry before the halves of the fuselage are glued together.
• Put the seats in as one of the last steps.
