A set of decals with a three-dimensional effect devoted to the rear crew station of the Avro Vulcan B.2 in 1:72 scale. It is sold as an improvement to a model that already exists, not as an aircraft to be built. According to the name it is precisely the rear section; the forward pilot's part is dealt with by a separate item of the same range.
The Vulcan was one of the three types of the so-called V-force and its enormous delta wing became a distinguishing mark of the 1950s and 1960s. The B.2 version received stronger engines and a modified wing of greater span. The best known action of the type was the very long bombing flights from Ascension Island during the conflict over the Falklands in 1982, which called for a chain of refuelings in flight.
The rear station is without windows on the real subject, so once the fuselage is closed it is visible only through a viewing port or with the hatch swung open. Consider therefore how to present the model; it pays off either to leave the entry opening open, or to photograph the section before gluing. Spray the ground in a dark shade and let it dry through, apply the decals by the wet method and do not run a hard brush over the relief.
