A masking set for a model of the German twin-engine Messerschmitt Bf 110 C aircraft in 1:48 scale, cut according to the name for the Eduard 8201 kit and for the marking option listed under the letter E.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 110 C is a German twin-engine heavy fighter aircraft from the beginning of the Second World War. The crew sat one behind the other under a long glazed cover that runs over a large part of the fuselage, and it is precisely that cover which makes the most work when building a model: there are many frames and each one has to have a sharp edge.
The templates are cut to the shape of a particular kit, so cutting masks out of tape is dispensed with. Thanks to them the spray ends exactly on the edge and the color stays part of the finish, with no step and no glossy rim such as the carrier film of a decal leaves behind. According to the name, the set is aimed at the Eduard kit with the number 8201 and at the marking option that its instructions list under the letter E. The extent of the set is stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
The surface under the template has to be dry, clean and degreased. Press the edges down all the way around with a blunt stick so that paint does not creep under them, and spray thinly several times over; one thick coat gets under the edge more easily and leaves a ridge you can feel. With glazing it pays to spray the interior shade first and only then the outer camouflage. Remove the template while the finish is freshly dry, and pull it at an angle across the edge rather than straight up.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
