A set of turned metal parts in 1:48 scale from the Polish manufacturer MASTER for the American Douglas A-1 Skyraider ground-attack aircraft. It holds 20 mm cannon barrels and a pitot tube as a more accurate replacement for the plastic parts from a kit. The metal version has more faithful geometry and a finer muzzle.
The A-1 Skyraider was a single-engine propeller-driven ground-attack aircraft that served from the end of the Second World War all the way to the Vietnam War and became famous for its great payload and its endurance over the battlefield. The wing 20 mm cannons are among its prominent features. The set replaces the plastic barrels and pitot with metal parts that come out better once painted.
Cut the parts off the casting stubs and clean them up. Fit the metal barrels and pitot in place of the plastic parts and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before painting, apply a primer suitable for metal surfaces to the metal.
It is not an aircraft model but an add-on set of replacement parts. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
