A photo-etched set for a model of the A-10C Thunderbolt II attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The metal parts replace and supplement detail that cannot be produced in plastic.
Responsibility details are not available.
The A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American attack aircraft built for the close support of ground forces. It differs from fighters in everything that matters: it flies slowly and low, it takes a hit and it is put together around its gun armament. The A-10C version is a later upgrade that adapted the machine to work with precision munitions and changed mainly the equipment of the pilot's station. In 1:48 scale the machine is large enough for even small detail to show on a finished model.
Photo-etched metal parts for an A-10C model in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for a kit; you cannot build a standalone model from it, and the plastic parts it replaces will stay unused. The extent of the set and the kit it is intended for are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Photo-etch is thin metal sheet, and the parts are held in it by small tabs. Separate them with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by breaking them out, or the part will twist. Make the bends along the marked score lines, best with a bender or over the edge of a steel rule. Metal is not glued with cement for plastic models; use cyanoacrylate in a small quantity. Before painting, degrease the parts and lay on a primer intended for metal, or the paint will come off during handling.
The kit, the paints, the glue and any tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
