The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American ground-attack aircraft built around close support of ground troops. It has a heavily protected cockpit and a rugged airframe that takes hits, and it can loiter over the battlefield considerably longer than fast combat aircraft. The A-10C version is an upgraded configuration with reworked cockpit equipment, which opened the way for the machine to use precision-guided munitions. It is the external stores that stand out most on this aircraft, and on a model a viewer notices them before anything else.
The set from the Big Sin range brings the armament for a model of the A-10C in 1:48 scale. It replaces the external stores from the kit with parts that have sharper edges, a finer surface and more legible detail on the racks. The exact composition of the set and the position of the individual parts on the aircraft are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder down, so that the mating surface stays flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. Use cyanoacrylate glue for gluing, and the detailed procedure is given by the manufacturer's instructions. Paint the munitions and finish the markings before you fit them on the racks, because on a finished model they are hard to reach. Watch that the external stores hang vertically and symmetrically on both halves of the wing.
The model of the aircraft, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
