A set of self-adhesive painting masks from Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but an accessory for building the Douglas A-20G Havoc. The masks are applied to the canopy glazing and the wheels; after spraying they peel off easily and leave clean, crisp transitions with no paint running over.

The real subject

The Douglas A-20 Havoc was an American twin-engined light bomber and ground-attack aircraft of the Second World War. The A-20G version was notable for a solid nose without glazing, into which heavy onboard armament was concentrated for low-level attacks on ground and ship targets. Besides the US Army Air Forces, the machine was also used on a large scale by the Soviet Air Force under Lend-Lease deliveries.

Use

• Transfer the masks carefully onto clean, degreased glazing and press them down so that they adhere well.
• We recommend spraying the color of the inner framing first and then the final covering shade.
• Apply the paint in thin coats with an airbrush, so that it does not run under the edge of a mask.
• Once dry, peel the masks off carefully, ideally with the tip of a knife or with tweezers.
