Self-adhesive glazing masks for the A-26B-50 Invader aircraft in 1:48 scale, according to the name for the outer and the inner side. Cut for the ICM kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Douglas A-26 Invader was an American twin-engine attack aircraft with piston engines, deployed at the close of the Second World War and in revised forms long after it as well. The A-26B version carried fixed armament in the nose instead of a glazed navigator's station, and the B-50 designation refers to a production block.
The set is intended for masking the glazing during painting. According to the name it contains pieces for the outer and the inner side, so the frames visible from inside the cockpit can be sprayed as well. It is cut for the ICM kit in 1:48 scale.
Wash and degrease the glazing before applying, and touch only the edges of a mask with a blade. Apply the inner masks before the cockpit is assembled and the outer ones to the finished part, always before spraying. Press the edges down with a toothpick or a wooden stick so that paint does not run under them. Lay on the inner cockpit color first and, once it has dried, the top finish, in several thin coats. Take the masks off as soon as the paint has dried; left on for longer they come off less easily.
The set saves lengthy cutting of tape and suits anyone who wants straight frames with no bleed on the broken-up glazing of the Invader. At the same time it keeps the glass clean throughout the painting. This is an accessory: the kit, paints and glue are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
