A-26B Invader 1:48 is a photo-etched accessory set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard intended for finishing a model of this American attack aircraft. It is not a kit.

The package contains photo-etched metal parts that are glued onto an A-26B plastic kit in 1:48 scale you have already bought. It is therefore not an airplane model but an accessory that replaces or adds the details injection-molded plastic can only manage in a simplified form. The manufacturer is Eduard, a Czech company with long experience of making photo-etch for plastic modelers. Because the name of the set gives only the aircraft type, check the data on the packaging to see which parts of the model the parts relate to and which kit they are meant for.
The Douglas A-26 Invader was an American twin-engined attack and light bomber aircraft with a crew of three that entered service in the final phase of the Second World War and, in various modifications, served long afterwards. The B version could be told by its solid, unglazed nose fitted with gun armament, unlike the C version with a glazed nose for the navigator. The aircraft had twin-row radial engines and, for its category, a high speed.
Before assembly, lay the parts out and try fitting them dry, especially the interior features you can no longer reach once the fuselage is glued together. Separate the metal from the fret with a scalpel and file the small remains of the tabs flush. Make the bends in a bending tool or against a metal ruler, always in one movement. Bond with super glue applied with the tip of a piece of wire. Degrease unpainted parts and spray them with primer; on pre-colored features, on the other hand, do not use any covering paint. A thin wash that runs into the gaps will bring out the sharp edges of the metal.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
