1:48 A-4E/F/K Skyhawk In and Out is a set of glazing masks for the inner and the outer side of the cabin of a model of the Skyhawk in 1:48 scale. The frame then looks right even when seen from the interior.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is not an ordinary cabin mask. The designation In and Out means that it contains masks for both sides of the glazing, that is, separately for the outer and separately for the inner side of the canopy.
A real cabin has its frame painted on both sides. When a model is masked only from the outside, the frame stays transparent when seen through the clear part and acts as a thin film, which is most visible with an open canopy or with a cabin that has a well appointed interior. With a double-sided set you first spray the inner side in the shade of the interior and only then the outer one in the shade of the airframe. The frame then holds the illusion from both sides and the clear surfaces stay perfectly clean. The extent of the set against the one-sided variant corresponds to that.
Wash the clear part before masking and let it dry out completely, because grease from the fingers is the most frequent cause of paint running under. Stick the inner masks on with tweezers and press them down in the corners too, where the frame is narrow. Spray thinly; two or three fine coats hold better than one thick one. Take the masks off while the paint is not yet completely hard, and carefully run a toothpick along any build-up at the edge. The subject is an American carrier-borne light attack aircraft with a delta wing, which was built in many versions including export ones.
