Self-adhesive die-cut masks, Eduard 1:48 A-6A Intruder, in kabuki tape for clean masking of the cockpit glazing and the wheels of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely die-cut self-adhesive masking set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a model of the early version of the American Grumman A-6A Intruder carrier attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The set is made of yellow kabuki tape, which holds reliably on flat and curved surfaces alike and, once the edges are pressed down, leaves a sharp spray edge.
The masks cover the frames of the cockpit glazing and the other transparent parts, so that when you spray, the glass stays clean and the transition between frame and glazing is precise. Circular masks for the hubs and wheel rims are included as well, and with them you easily separate the tire from the rim. There is no slow cutting out of tape with a knife and no risk of scratching the transparent parts.
Lift the individual masks carefully off the backing with pointed tweezers, lay them on the part and press the edges down thoroughly, for instance with a toothpick or a piece of tissue, so that paint cannot creep under the edge. Cover the larger areas of glass between the frames with a strip of ordinary tape or with liquid mask. Spray the paint in thin layers and peel the masks off while the finish is fresh — the edges will then be at their sharpest.
This is a self-adhesive masking set, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
