A set of masking inserts from Omask for models of the two-seat trainer version of the Japanese fighter Mitsubishi A6M2-K Zero in 1:48 scale. This is not a model part, but a painting aid: shaped plugs fit into the landing gear bays and protect them from paint seepage while spraying the surrounding areas. They are easily removed once painting is done. The inserts are shaped for the A6M2-K kit from Eduard.
The A6M2-K was a two-seat trainer variant of the famous carrier-based fighter Zero, adapted for pilot training with tandem cockpits. It served with the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service to prepare crews.
Open wheel bays are hard to mask with tape. Omask's inserts speed up the work and keep the interior free of overspray, which makes later detailing and painting of the landing gear easier.
This is a masking accessory, not paint or a model part. Paints are not included in the package.
