Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for the plastic model of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero fighter and its floatplane version A6M2-N, nicknamed Rufe. It is neither a kit nor a model of its own but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero is a Japanese carrier fighter of the Second World War, which at the start of the war stood out for its agility and long range. The A6M2 version was among the first widely used forms. From the A6M2 came the floatplane version A6M2-N, given the Allied reporting name Rufe, which was used to defend forward island bases without permanent airfields.
Degrease the glazing of the long canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the individual frames, pressing them into the edges and filling the small cutouts with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
