Eduard masks A6M5 Zero 1:48 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for the model of the Japanese A6M5 Zero carrier fighter. It gives sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for the plastic model of the Japanese Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero carrier fighter. It is neither a kit nor a model of its own but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color divisions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero is a Japanese carrier fighter of the Second World War powered by a radial engine. It stood out for extraordinary agility and long range and dominated air combat in the early stage of the war in the Pacific. The A6M5 version was the most widespread variant, with a strengthened airframe and modified exhausts for higher performance. Characteristic is the long, many-framed glasshouse canopy.
Degrease the glazing of the many-framed canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the individual frames of the windscreen and of the sliding and rear sections, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the hub. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
