Aero L-39MS and L-59 1:48 is a set of pre-cut Eduard masks for the cockpit glazing. It is not a kit but an aid for painting one.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds self-adhesive, machine-cut masks of so-called kabuki paper, intended for masking the cockpit glazing of a model of the Aero L-39MS and L-59 in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit: it is an aid that turns the least pleasant part of the build into routine. The masks are cut to fit a particular kit, so check before buying that they match yours. Eduard is a Czech manufacturer from Obrnice near Most, and masking sets are among its most widespread accessories.
The individual pieces are lifted from the sheet with tweezers or the point of a knife and laid on the clear part exactly along the outlines of the frames. The material follows the curve of the canopy well, so it holds even on doubly curved glazing. Larger open areas in the middle of the panes are covered with the leftovers from the sheet or with liquid mask. Once the paint is on, the masks are lifted; they leave no adhesive and the edge of the paint is sharp, with no running under.
Once a mask is on, press its edges down with a toothpick or a blunt point so that nothing runs underneath. Apply the paint in several thin coats, as a heavy coat will make a step at the edge. Remove the masks shortly after the paint has dried, not weeks later; the longer they stay on, the harder they come off. The same approach is worth using on the inner side as well, if you want the frames painted in the interior shade.
The set holds masks only. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
