A photo-etched set for a model of the Japanese Aichi D3A1 carrier dive bomber in 1:48 scale. The metal parts sharpen the detail of a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Aichi D3A1, designated the Type 99 carrier dive bomber, was among the main carrier machines of the Imperial Japanese Navy in the first years of the war in the Pacific; the Allies gave it the reporting name Val. You will know it by its fixed landing gear in aerodynamic spats, its rounded wing and the dive brakes beneath it.
Photo-etched metal parts for a D3A1 model in 1:48 scale. They serve as an accessory to a kit and deal with places where a plastic part necessarily stays thicker than it should be. Exactly what the set replaces and in what order it is fitted is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Store the fret flat, as bent metal will not straighten out again. Cut the parts off with a sharp blade on a hard surface and change the blade before it starts to tear the metal. Leave shaping into a curve to a round handle or a drill bit and press gradually, not in one squeeze. For bonding metal to plastic, super glue or two-part epoxy will do; lay it on with the tip of a wire so that the excess does not spread around. Degrease unpainted parts before spraying and give them a primer, or the paint will not hold on smooth metal.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
